For same-day custom cakes, call 443-830-7697 before ordering to confirm availability. Accepted same-day orders must be placed by 12 noon for pickup at 4 p.m. Same-day orders require full payment when ordering.
How do I place a custom cake order?
If you do not see the cake you are looking for on our website, please complete our Custom Cake Inquiry Form. Provide your event date, size, flavor, design inspiration, and budget. Our team will respond within 24hrs
Is submitting a custom inquiry a confirmed order?
No. Submitting a custom cake inquiry does not confirm an order. Advance orders require a 25% deposit to reserve your date. Full payment is required to confirm your order. Orders placed less than 14 days before pickup or delivery require full payment when ordering.
What is your cancellation policy?
At least 14 days before pickup or delivery: all payments, including the deposit, are refundable, less costs already incurred for custom-made or specially ordered items.
Less than 14 days before pickup or delivery: the deposit is non-refundable.
Less than 7 days before pickup or delivery: fully paid orders cannot be canceled or refunded. Same-day orders and orders placed within 7 days cannot be canceled or refunded. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Are cakes returnable?
Cakes are perishable, made-to-order products and cannot be returned. We do not offer refunds once cakes have been prepared, collected, or delivered. Eligible advance-order cancellations follow our cancellation policy. If there is an issue, contact us promptly with your order number, a description, and clear photographs.
Do you replicate cake designs exactly?
Inspiration images serve as a guide. Because each cake is handcrafted, colors, proportions, decorations, and finishing details may vary. AI-generated images may contain features that cannot be reproduced exactly with edible materials. We will work to reflect your requested style using suitable materials and techniques.
Do you offer dietary specialty cakes?
Selected dietary options are available. Please discuss your requirements with us before ordering. Our facility handles nuts and other allergens and is not a nut-free environment. Cross-contact may occur, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free products. Customers or guests with severe food allergies should not order from us.
Do you require a deposit?
Advance orders require a 25% deposit to reserve your date. Full payment is required to confirm your order, and the remaining balance must be paid at least 14 days before pickup or delivery. Orders placed less than 14 days in advance—including same-day and last-minute orders—require full payment when ordering; a deposit option is not available.
Do you offer delivery?
Pickup is available at our Catonsville storefront at your confirmed pickup time. Delivery is available by request and subject to availability. Fees depend on the delivery location and will be confirmed before delivery is arranged. Contact us in advance if you need to change your collection arrangements.
Who is responsible for the cake after pickup or delivery?
Once your cake has been collected or delivered and handed over, you are responsible for its handling, storage, display, and care. Cedars Cakes is not responsible for damage caused afterward by improper handling, heat, unsuitable storage, or an unstable display surface.
If you notice an issue at handover, please notify our team immediately.
How should I store my cake?
Keep your cake refrigerated in its box until you are ready to prepare it for display or serving. Place it on a flat shelf, away from strong-smelling foods, and keep the box upright.
Avoid direct sunlight, heat, and humid conditions. Follow any specific storage instructions provided with your order, especially for cakes with perishable fillings or delicate decorations.
When should I take my cake out of the refrigerator before my event?
The timing depends on the cake’s size, frosting, filling, and room temperature. Please ask our team for the recommended timing for your particular cake when collecting it or arranging delivery. Set up your cake indoors in a cool, air-conditioned space, away from sunlight and heat. Cakes with perishable fillings should remain refrigerated until shortly before serving. For outdoor events, arrange setup as close to serving time as possible.
Do you provide or decorate the wedding cake table?
Cedars Cakes does not provide or decorate wedding cake tables. The table, linens, flowers, backdrop, and other display decorations must be arranged by you, your venue, planner, or decorator. Please ensure a stable, level table that can safely support the cake is ready before our scheduled delivery. Position it in a cool area, away from direct sunlight, heat, and busy walkways.
How do I book a cake tasting?
Please schedule and book your cake tasting online at least 7 days in advance so we can prepare and arrange your appointment.
Cake tasting appointments are available Monday–Saturday, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
